Passion: Buddha once said, “discover your work and with all your heart give yourself to it.” About 80% of people are unhappy at work, and the rest are happy. People have separated work from passion, and taught us to prefer a higher paycheck to higher happiness. That mistake costs us our souls. The goal of career development is to uncover one's gifts and passions, and to link them to the practical needs of the world. We call that "being in the right place," "finding a good fit," or "making the best use of one's talents." Innovation: Innovation is a habit. You need to constantly figure out how to do it better.
Flexibility: Cigniti offers an informal, fun environment with freedom to innovate and great opportunities to learn.
Informal and fun: We encourage teamwork and teams have a lot of fun together. Managers have budgets for fun activities for their teams and teams choose different activities. We spend a third of a day at office and we believe you should enjoy coming in for work every day.
Freedom to innovate: We encourage innovation at every level. Innovation is not the prerogative of only experienced people or the R&D department. The software industry is known for innovations that have come from kids while they were still in college - Linus Torvalds, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, Bill Gates, etc. Innovation can take the form of exploring a new technique, implementing a new process or creating a new tool or framework that will add value to the client. Innovation is what will differentiate our offerings in the services market and we ask everyone to participate.
Learning: Learning is a continuous activity at Cigniti and we encourage our associates to certify for industry certifications like ISTQB, SJCP, MCP, etc. Learning also happens through mentoring and specific assignments handed out by our R&D team and Practices.
Rewards and Recognition: We reward and recognize employees who make contributions at the individual, organizational and industry levels. Associates are encouraged to not only contribute at the individual/project level but also at the organization level and ultimately aim for making industry level contributions.
