Bryan Mills joined GameStop five years ago as the first QA person on the Impulse team, a PC gaming platform acquired the same week Bryan was. He built the Impulse QA team and helped merge the product and the team into the GameStop ecommerce stack. Along the way he took on other teams, eventually becoming head of all domestic QA at GameStop, earning his current title of QA Director.
Before GameStop he worked at Think Finance (an online lender), T-System (emergency room workflow), and Wyse (thin client management software). Bryan has been in QA for 14 years. Before joining QA he ran tech support for Wyse, and from that experience he still has an aversion to talking on the phone. He has worked for two startups and was at Computer City when CompUSA bought them, so it is no wonder that he’s learned to be comfortable with chaos. Speaking of chaos, he has three sons and a wife-acquired kitten. Bryan is married to a marvelous woman who makes him blissfully happy, even with the cat. When not at work you can usually find Bryan with a book in his hand.
