Tim Whiteman is currently a Manager in Southwest Airlines’ Technology Quality Management Office (QMO). Tim has over 20 years of experience in many aspects of Quality Assurance and Information Technology. At Southwest Tim oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Assurance processes and activities across multiple Southwest projects which include Security, SAP, Revenue Accounting, Data/Analytics, and Services. He has responsibility for promoting the recognition of company quality programs among his external clients, consulting agencies and internal staff. Tim has developed, implemented and maintained high performing programs in alignment with Southwest’s stringent quality objectives, strategies and processes
Tim’s extensive software and technical experiences have been beneficial to industries such as transportation, health care, finance, education, and security. He has assisted numerous companies in implementing software measurement programs that benchmark software productivity and quality. His other areas of expertise include outsourcing evaluation & management, process improvement, software development methodologies, project management, and project estimation.
Tim is passionate about Information Security, and believes in a more secure IT world. Tim has tremendous knowledge and perspective on topics related to information security & compliance testing. He is, also, a Six Sigma Certified professional with many noteworthy accolades.
