Cigniti has acquired Aparaa Digital, a leading AI/ML, Data, and Blockchain Engineering services provider that is known as the brand ‘RoundSqr’. This is a significant step forward in Cigniti’s strategic goal of becoming a leading provider of Digital Engineering and Assurance services. In an interview with Economic Times, our CEO, Srikanth Chakkilam, discusses our strategic milestone of surpassing INR 1,000 Cr in annual revenue and the acquisition of RoundSqr, a Digital Engineering specialist company with expertise in AI/ML, Data, and Blockchain Engineering services. The interview also covers Cigniti’s journey through FY2022, the milestones it has achieved, as well as the challenges it overcame, and its strategy in the coming years.

To assure its digital transformation journey, Cigniti has signed a $10Mn+ ACV deal with one of the largest and oldest financial services and investment organizations in the United States. The client is a Fortune 500 corporation with operations in more than 20 states across the United States.

Our Chairman and MD, Mr. C V Subramanyam recently met Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and IT Departments of the Telangana, and had a stimulating discussion on how Hyderabad is surging ahead as a global leader in the IT world. They discussed Cigniti’s strategic IT outlook, the global need for digital transformation, and exchanged industry insights in the evolving IP landscape.

As we all know, lockdown and WFH increased BMIs! We are concerned about the health and wellness of our associates. Under the banner of “Wellness Matters”, yoga sessions are being organized, enabling the flexibility of both offshore and onshore teams to participate. The overwhelming response both in the form of participation and audience made the session enjoyable and full of enthusiasm. 

Through the remote working experience, Cigniti has embraced the fact that employee engagement is incomplete without involving the extended Cigniti family. The Centerstage for Cigniti Juniors on the occasion of Children’s Day was a walk down our childhood memory lane with the enthusiastic performances by the children of Cigniti employees.The puppet show was the highlight of the evening, and the kids savoured every second of it. 

We celebrated Tiranga Food Fest on the occasion of Republic Day ‘22. We owe a salute to our employee’s creativity and patriotism. Here’s a glimpse of the culinary creativity during the fest.

Our fellow 14 female leaders delivered an exciting session for the girls from a government school as part of our CSR initiative, sharing inspiring stories about great female trailblazers in various fields and motivating them to pursue their passion. The session aims to empower, encourage, and educate the girls so that they can stand on their own feet and shine in their endeavours.

Life, as they knew it, has changed for 350 children at Erramanzil, a government high school in Punjagutta, Hyderabad, through our school intervention program. The school

was recently transformed, as the result of an intense collaboration between the GMRVF the implementing partner for the education project in Hyderabad. We emphasized on access, inclusion, and infrastructural support under the ambit of the program, wherein water, sanitation, computer rooms, e-learning facilities, libraries, etc. were provided.

On March 10th, 2022, we successfully conducted the first ever “Women in Technology roundtable” with the topic – The Reason for Optimism. We had women leaders, Heidi J Musser (our Advisory Council member), Priya Serai (CIO-OmniCable), Angela Venuk (Ex CIO at GameStop), Alice Dungey (Director Technology QMO, Southwest Airlines), Srilatha Korada (Head of Quality Assurance, PODS), & Aimee Senour in the panel discussion along with Sai Vedam (CMO, Cigniti Technologies). The session focused on the dynamic journey of women within the world of technology and the changes that are evolving as a result of the pandemic. 

Digital Customer Experience in Airlines 

Amine Boulaghmen and Tim Whiteman, global thought leaders from the Airline industry joined Sairam Vedam, Chief Marketing Officer, Cigniti, and Chris Manuel to share actionable insights on how the aviation industry must approach digital innovation differently than other businesses due to regulation and safety concerns. Understanding clients, providing appropriate services, and adding value to airline offers are becoming increasingly important. They also touched on how the next generation of customers expects newer technologies and advanced self-service capabilities as the travel business becomes more competitive and sophisticated.
