Cigniti Technologies appoints three Industry Leaders as Independent Directors on its Board.
Cigniti Technologies Ltd., a global leader in independent software testing services company, has further strengthened its board by appointing three (3) industry leaders – Mr. R.K. Agarwal, a qualified Chartered Accountant, Mr. Phaneesh Murthy, a global IT industry veteran, and Ms. Nooraine Fazal, Managing Trustee, CEO & Co-Founder of Inventure Academy, on its Board as Independent Directors.
Mr. R. K. Agarwal, aged 64 years, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a 40 years’ experienced professional in various fields like Audit, Taxation, Company Law, Consultancy, etc. He has been a partner with S. R. Batliboi & Co. since 1978 and was the Managing Partner of the Firm at the time of his retirement in June, 2013. Mr Agarwal has been connected with various Chambers of Commerce like Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Indian Chamber of Commerce, Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce, etc. as Committee Chairman/Executive Committee Member, Permanent Invitee, etc. He has served as the Chairman of Services, Economic Affairs, Company Law and Taxation Sub-Committees of CII (Eastern Region).
Mr. Phaneesh Murthy has been serving as a Non-Executive Director of Cigniti Technologies Inc, USA (100% subsidiary of Cigniti Technologies Ltd.) since 19th January 2017. Mr. Phaneesh is a business leader with 25 years of experience in structuring and managing large outsourcing deals for Fortune 500 companies whose previous roles include CEO & President of iGate Corporation and Worldwide Head of Sales and Marketing, Head of Communications, and Product Solutions Group at Infosys Ltd. Mr. Phaneesh is widely recognized as an Industry pioneer in propelling organizations to an all-round, multifold growth, and helping them reach leadership positions. He also consults for various businesses.
Ms. Nooraine Fazal has a Master of Science degree in Management from Boston University and has worked with IBM and Reuters for a period of 10 years in a front-line and managerial capacity. Post a period of introspection about the future, Ms. Nooraine returned to India in 2003 (after twelve years across the UK, USA, Middle East, Australia, and the Greater China region) in order to be a ‘citizen with a say’ in the way the country is developing.
